Moreover, his molecular-level characterisation has provided valuable insights into the structure-property correlation, enabling specific applications in diverse areas, ranging from energy materials like solid electrolytes to sorbent materials for environmental PFAS remediation, as well as functional biomaterials such as imaging and therapeutic agents. As a testament to his leadership and expertise, Dr. Zhang presides as the Group Leader for the esteemed Zhang Group.

Dr. Leonard Deepak Francis is an esteemed Group Leader at the renowned International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) in Portugal. He earned his Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, India, in 2005. Throughout his career, Dr. Leonard Deepak Francis has made significant contributions to scientific literature, with numerous articles published in esteemed peer-reviewed journals. He actively participates in various conferences, making valuable oral contributions and engaging in workshops, further enriching the scientific community with his expertise.

Nanotechnology, Nanoparticles

Daniela Manno, born in 1960, graduated with honors in Physics in 1994. She pursued specialized courses in electron microscopy in Italy (Rome and Bologna) and abroad (Leeds, Oxford, Bristol) between 1988 and 1990, benefiting from research scholarships focusing on the morphological and structural characterization of bulk materials and thin films using transmission electron microscopy techniques (1990-1991). She began her academic career as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Lecce (1996-2006) and later became an Associate Professor in Experimental Physics at the Faculty of Physical, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences at the University of Salento (from 2001 to 2015). Daniela Manno's research activities are centered around Experimental Physics, with a current emphasis on nanotechnology development. Her primary research focuses on the synthesis, structural and morphological characterization, and applications of nanostructured systems based on metal and hybrid structures, including organic-inorganic (core-shell) configurations.

Her expertise mainly involves the use of electron microscopy techniques for morphological and structural characterization.

Dr. Xiaoqiao He's academic journey includes a B.S. in Solid Mechanics from Wuhan University of Technology, an M.S. in Computational Mechanics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and a Ph.D. in Dynamics from the National University of Singapore. Following his doctoral studies, he worked as an R&D Engineer at MAINTAINER (S) PTE LTD in Singapore for a year. Subsequently, Dr. He gained valuable research experience as a Research Fellow for four years at the joint Research Center of the Institute of High-Performance Computing and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He further served as a Research Fellow at the City University of Hong Kong for an additional two years before joining the institution as a lecturer in September 2005. His primary research areas encompass nanomechanics of carbon nanotubes, smart structures, computational mechanics, parallel computing on PC environments, and multiscale modeling of CNT-reinforced composites. Over the past fifteen years, his contributions in these fields have resulted in more than 120 SCI journal papers published in prestigious international journals, amassing over 3500 citations (excluding self-citations) and boasting an h-index of 32 as per the Web of Science Core Collection. Dr. He has been co-author of four papers, each with more than 200 citations, as per the Web of Science Core Collection.

Professor IS Kim earned his PhD in Materials Engineering from Nagoya University, Japan, in 2000. Following five years of postdoctoral and research professor work (2000-2005), he embarked on an academic journey as an Assistant Professor at Shinshu University, Japan, in 2005. Recognizing his outstanding contributions, he was promoted to Associate Professor in 2007 and was honored with the title of Rising Star Professor in 2015. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Distinguished Professor at Shinshu University, Japan. In addition to this, he serves as a Distinguished Professor for Soochow University, China, and holds the role of Adjunct Professor at POSTECH, Korea. Professor IS Kim boasts an impressive academic record with over 330 publications in reputable SCI or SCIE journals, along with more than 100 international patents filed, and has contributed to one book and over 25 book chapters. Impact Investment Future for Nanotechnology

Professor Kanwar is the group leader and laboratory head of Nanomedicine-Laboratory of Immunology and Molecular Biomedical Research in School of Medicine, Faculty of Health at Deakin University. His earlier research (for nearly a decade in New Zealand) has focused on studying pathophysiology and devising new treatments mainly for cancer and chronic inflammatory diseases. Prof. Kanwar is currently working on nanotechnology/nanomedicine based protein/peptide, aptamers and his research approach employs monotherapy (gene therapy, immunotherapy) and combinational therapy with commercially available chemotherapeutic agents including LNA-aptamers (RNA/DNA), peptides and other biomolecules such as siRNA, miRNA, aptamers, proteins, siRNA, miRNA and their chimera (LNA-aptamer chimera with siRNA/miRNA delivery for targeting expression of survivin (the validated anti-cancer target), HIF-1 and apoptotic signalling molecules in cancer and chronic inflammation.

Cancer and chronic inflammatory diseases targeted nanomedicine based drug delivery siRNA, miRNA anti-sense targeted gene nanomedicine based technology to target cancer and inflammation. Alain L. Fymat is a medical-physical scientist and an educator who was educated at the Universities of Bordeaux and Paris-Sorbonne, France, and the University of California at Los Angeles. He is the current President/CEO and Professor at the International Institute of Medicine & Science. He was formerly Professor of Radiology, Radiological Sciences, Radiation Medicine (Oncology), Critical Care Medicine, and Physics at several U.S. and European Universities. His current research interests lie at the interface between science and medicine (precision medicine, nanobiotechnology, nanomedicine, genetics/epigenetics/ecogenetics). He has extensively published (>> 300 scholarly publications) and lectured in several national and international academic, professional, governmental and industrial venues. Ching-An Peng started his academic career as an assistant professor at the University of Southern California in Chemical Engineering Department and later on promoted to associate professor with tenure. He then worked at the National Taiwan University as a full professor and at Michigan Technological University as the first holder of the James and Lorna Mack Endowed Chair in Bioengineering. In 2015, he joined the University of Idaho. Over the course of his academic career, Peng has been involved with research in drug/gene delivery using viral and nonviral vectors as well as ultrasonic device, developing phagocytosis-resistant perfluorocarbon-based oxygen carriers using PEGylated fluorosurfactant and CD47 ligand, photothermolysis of cancer cells using nanomaterials, and detection of antiviral agents using nanobiosensors.

Hans Fecht is Chaired Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ulm, Germany, and Director of the “Institute of Micro and Nano-materials". He received his PhD at the University of Saarbrücken in 1984 and became professor at the University of Augsburg after postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the California Institute of Technology, USA. In 1993 he was appointed Full Professor at the Technical University Berlin and in 1997 at University of Ulm. He directs a group of about 30 academics, students, technicians and visitors. He has published more than 450 scientific papers, coordinated numerous national, European and international research projects and (co)organized a number of international workshops, symposia and conferences. Hans Fecht was awarded with the Leibniz Prize of the German Research Foundation (DFG), "Pioneer of Nanotechnology" (Deutsche Bank), the Innovation Award of the Association of German Engineers (VDI) and is member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. In addition, he is the office director of the EUREKA Cluster Metallurgy Europe.

Prof. Fecht directs a group of about 30 graduate students, PhD students and Post-Docs in the field. He has (co )authored more than 450 technical papers, (co-) organized several international conferences (micromaterials) and workshops (EPS, ESA, nanoDanube). He is a member of several international advisory boards and has a long standing history of managing national and international projects in the field of materials science and nanotechnology

Bingqing Wei holds an impressive academic background, having earned his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, in 1987, 1989, and 1992, respectively. Currently, he serves as a distinguished Professor within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the esteemed University of Delaware in Newark, DE, USA. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Wei has been a prolific researcher, authoring over 230 scientific papers in reputable international journals, such as Nature and Science. His expertise and insights have been sought after worldwide, leading him to deliver over 160 invited talks and seminars in both academic and industrial settings.

Prof. Alicia de Andrés holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the Autonomous University of Madrid and has been serving as a Research Professor at the Materials Science Institute in Madrid under the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (ICMM - CSIC) since 2008. With an illustrious career, she leads the Graphene-based Hybrid Materials group and heads the Optical Spectroscopies Laboratory. Her contributions to the scientific community are substantial, as evidenced by her impressive portfolio of over 150 ISI publications. He serves as the Chair of the Howard University Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and is the Director of the Laboratory for Nanomedicine, Drug Delivery, and Pharmaceutical & Biopharmaceutical Drug Products Design. With a diverse and cosmopolitan training background, his impressive curriculum vitae (CV) showcases his expertise as a registered pharmacist and immunization pharmacist in Utah, Maryland, Washington DC, and Nigeria.
